The 40% comes off the standard monthly rate and replaces the annual billing saving rather than stacking on top of it — whichever discount is larger is the one you pay, and at 40% it's always this one.

How verification works

From application to active,
in four quiet steps.

One friction point at signup, then close to none after that. The minimal ritual to keep you on the discounted rate is a single annual reply.

    Four fields, then one quiet wait.

    Your organisation's name, the registration number, the country it's filed in, and where to write you back. We don't ask for tax filings, board minutes or a deck.

  2. 02Manual verification

    A human looks the number up.

    We open the relevant national registry, find your record and read the status. It usually takes about two minutes, and we do it within one business day. No automation, no AI middleware.

  3. 03Activation

    A discount code, attached to your account.

    Once approved, the 40% discount is bound to your workspace through Stripe Billing — applied automatically on every invoice, regardless of cadence or tier. You don't enter a code anywhere.

  4. 04Annual confirmation

    One email a year — not a re-application.

    Twelve months in, we write a single line: 'Still a registered nonprofit? Reply yes and we keep going.' One reply, the discount continues. No paperwork to refile.

Which organisations qualify?
Any organisation with a current charity, nonprofit, foundation or NGO registration in its country of operation. We accept registrations from anywhere in the world — the registry doesn't have to be one we've heard of, just one we can verify.
What about social enterprises and B-corps?
Social enterprises and B-corps with a clear nonprofit registration qualify. For-profit companies operating with a social mission don't, even excellent ones — there's a different programme on its way for those.
Does the discount stack with annual billing savings?
The nonprofit discount doesn't stack with the annual billing saving — whichever is the larger discount applies. Since the 40% programme rate exceeds the annual saving of roughly 20–25%, the programme discount applies on top of the standard monthly price, regardless of whether you bill monthly or annually.
How long does verification take?
Most applications are reviewed within one business day. The verification itself takes about two minutes — we open the registry you've named and read the status. We do not use third-party verification services.
What does annual re-verification involve?
A single email from us, a single reply from you. We write 'Are you still registered under {your reference}?' and you reply 'yes'. The discount continues without anything else changing.
What happens if our nonprofit status changes?
Reply to the renewal email and tell us. We'll move you to standard pricing on the next invoice — never retroactively. There's no penalty for a status change; it's simply a different conversation.
Can we get the discount on Maison?
Yes. Unlike the Founders programme for startups, the nonprofit discount applies to all three tiers — Studio, Atelier and Maison. The 40% applies as a percentage on whichever Maison engagement we scope together.
Do you publish a list of programme members?
Only with explicit permission, and only for organisations that want to be listed. Most prefer the membership to remain private. We will, of course, be a quiet reference for you on request.
