About · Clientia

A tool we built for
ourselves first.

Clientia started life as an internal tool at AG Web Studios. We were tired of running our own client operations across spreadsheets, half-fitting SaaS and one-off scripts — so we built the workspace we wished existed, and decided to share it.

Our story

Built because we needed it.

Clientia wasn't planned in a deck. It started as a Friday afternoon decision to stop fighting our own tooling — and grew from there.

At AG Web Studios, we've always run a small, deliberate book of clients — design and engineering work that lives across long retainers, recurring licenses and the occasional bespoke project. For years, the operations side of that lived in a tangle of spreadsheets, half-fitting SaaS subscriptions and notes scattered between the founders' heads.

The breaking point was familiar: a renewal we almost missed, an invoice that fell through the cracks, and the realization that the tools meant to help were quietly costing us more time than they saved. So we wrote down everything our practice actually needed, sketched the smallest workspace that could hold it, and started building.

Clientia is still under active development — we use it every day to run AG Web Studios, and that's the bar it has to clear before any feature ships. If it doesn't make our own Mondays quieter, it doesn't belong here.

We didn't want another CRM. We wanted to stop managing our practice in seven different tabs.

On why we started building Clientia
What we believe

The four quiet principles.

Four ideas that shape every roadmap call, every line of copy and every shipping decision.

Restraint

Less, but considered.

We've felt the pain of bloated tools. Every feature in Clientia has to earn its place — if it doesn't make a real workday quieter, it doesn't ship.

Built in production

We use it daily.

Clientia is the workspace we run AG Web Studios on. Bugs hit us first, friction lands on our own desks, and that's exactly why the rough edges keep getting sanded down.

Care

Small team, real humans.

Onboarding, migrations and support are handled by the same people writing the code. There's no support tier between you and the founders.

Trust

Architecture before features.

Encryption at rest and in flight. One-click export of everything you put in. The boring infrastructure layer is where we spend most of our time.

The story so far

A short, unhurried history.

Clientia didn't start as a product. It started as a fix for our own workdays — and slowly turned into something worth sharing.

  1. Before Clientia
AG Web Studios, quietly drowning in tabs.
Spreadsheets, half-fitting SaaS, scattered notes between the founders. The operations side of the studio costing more time than it saved.
  2. The breaking point
    One nearly-missed renewal too many.
We wrote down every part of our own client operations on a single page — clients, licenses, contracts, payments — and decided to stop patching the gaps with more tools.
  3. First version
An internal tool, for ourselves only.
The first build of Clientia ran inside AG Web Studios. No marketing site, no waitlist — just a workspace that finally fit how we actually worked.
  4. Today
    Sharing it, carefully.
Clientia is still under active development. We use it every day to run the studio, and we're opening it up to a small number of firms who want what we wanted.
Built in the open, slowly
