Overview

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Clientia places on your device, what they do, and how you can manage them. It applies to our marketing site (clientia.app) and the Clientia application.

For the broader picture of how we handle personal data, read our Privacy Policy. You can update your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

02

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember state between page loads — for example, that you are signed in. “Similar technologies” includes local storage, session storage, and pixel tags, which work differently but serve comparable purposes.

03

Cookies we use

We organise our cookies into three categories. You can enable or disable non-essential categories via Cookie settings.

Strictly necessary

These cannot be turned off. Without them the site and application cannot function.

clientia_session
Authenticates your session. HTTP-only, secure, expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity. Set by Clientia.
clientia_csrf
Prevents cross-site request forgery. Session-scoped. Set by Clientia.
clientia_consent
Stores your cookie preference choices so we don’t ask again. 1-year expiry. Set by Clientia.

Analytics cookies

Set only with your consent. Help us understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the product. No data is sold or shared with advertisers.

_ga, _ga_*
Google Analytics 4 measurement cookies. Distinguish unique visitors and sessions. 2-year expiry. Set by Google under our instructions. Governed by GA Consent Mode v2 — no measurement data is sent before you consent.

Marketing cookies

Set only with your consent. Used to serve relevant advertising and measure campaign effectiveness. Currently no marketing cookies are active — this category is reserved for future use and will be updated before deployment.

04

Third-party cookies

Some cookies listed above are set by third-party services we use. Those services have their own privacy and cookie policies which govern how they process data. We have data-processing agreements in place with each of them.

We do not permit third parties to drop cookies for their own advertising purposes on our sites.

05

Managing your preferences

There are three ways to control cookies:

Cookie settings panel

Click Cookie settings in the page footer at any time. Changes take effect immediately and persist for one year.

Browser controls

All modern browsers let you view, block or delete cookies in Settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and core functionality.

Opt-out tools

For Google Analytics specifically, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — if your browser sends it, we automatically disable marketing cookies.

06

How long cookies last

Cookie lifetimes are listed alongside each cookie above. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire on the date shown or when you delete them. Revoking consent via Cookie settings immediately removes non-essential cookies from your browser.

07

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add, change or remove cookies. If the change is material, we will re-request consent where required by law. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the latest version.
